Introduction

Hiii everyone. Welcome back to YMMV! Today, we’re looking at the Aniya switch from BSUN, a fantastic budget option for those seeking smooth performance and a deep, thocky sound. With a full POM housing and LY stem, the Aniya switch offers premium feel at an entry-level price. Make sure to read until the end, there might just be a surprise! Let’s dive in…

Background

The Aniya switch is the golden child of BSUN, a brand known for delivering quality components at affordable prices. Featuring a full POM housing and LY stem, the Aniya switch aims to combine smoothness with a deep, satisfying sound. At a midrange price of $0.55/switch, it punches well above its price class, feeling far more premium than typical budget switches like those from Akko.

Specifications

Switch type Linear
Operating Force 42 gf
Bottom-out Force 50 gf
Pre-Travel 2.0 mm
Total Travel 3.2 mm

Notes

  • Stem Material: LY
  • Housing: POM (opaque, less optimal for RGB)
  • Factory Lube: 205g0 & 105g mix

Feel

The Aniya switch’s LY stem provides buttery smooth keystrokes with minimal friction, while its tight tolerances keep stem wobble to a minimum. The shorter travel distance gives a nice snappy feel, though it might not suit those who prefer the full 4.0mm travel of traditional switches. Overall, there are no glaring weakness, and the switch really does provide a refined, polished experience.

Sound

The Aniya’s sound is deep and thocky, very similar to the fan-favourite Vertex V1, but with a cleaner and more distinct upstroke. The POM housing helps create a full-bodied, deep sound, making it perfect for fans of low-pitched switches. Slot this switch into a keyboard with some foams and mods, and you’ll have a showstopper that’s sure to make the uninitiated exclaim “WOW. Where did you get that keyboard?”

Opinion

For the price, the Aniya is an outstanding option for beginners or anyone in the midrange budget. It feels and sounds a lot more premium than its cost suggests and requires no modifications for a great stock experience. Truly the pinnacle of innovations in the industry, obliterating switches like the Gateron Milky Yellow in the same price range.

TLDR

  • $0.55 per switch at TKM
  • Linear
  • Extremely smooth right out of the box
  • 42g actuation, 50g bottom out
  • Shorter travel (3.2mm) due to long-pole design
