The Obsidian DIY Mouse Skates are universal 0.8mm PTFE dots with a 6.5mm diameter — built for control and stopping power instead of pure glide. The hard, finely frosted surface increases friction at the contact point; the hardened PTFE adds braking power for emergency stops and tap-shot precision.

Apply as many or as few as you want. Fewer dots = faster glide. More dots = more control and slower stop. Tune your skates the way you tune your sensitivity.

FAQ

How many dots should I use per mouse?
Start with the same number and positions as your mouse's original feet. From there: add more dots to slow the glide and increase control, or remove dots to speed up. Most builders find their preferred layout within a few attempts.
Will these work on my mouse pad?
Yes for cloth and glass mouse pads. Not recommended for coated or plastic mouse pads — the hardened, frosted surface is tuned for the texture of cloth and glass; on coated/plastic surfaces it won't behave as designed.
How do I install them?
Remove your mouse's original feet, clean the contact area with the included alcohol pad and adhesive remover wipe, peel the dot, and stick it on. Refer to the layout guide above for recommended positions.
Are these the best skates for FPS control and emergency stops?
For players who prioritise stopping power and tap-shot control over pure speed, the Obsidian dots are one of the better DIY options — the hardened PTFE and frosted surface trade some glide for noticeably more brake. If you want the fastest possible glide, fewer dots (or a different skate type) will be better.

All shipments include shipping protection to safeguard against loss or damage during transit.

If your package is lost or damaged during transit, please contact us as soon as possible so we can assist you with an investigation or claim.

3. Shipping Rates & Delivery Time

Free Shipping (Canada & United States Only)

  • Canada: Free standard shipping on orders of CAD $179 or more.
  • United States: Free standard shipping on orders of USD $179 or more.
  • Europe & Other International Destinations: Free shipping is not available. Shipping fees are calculated at checkout based on the destination and selected shipping method.

Within Canada

  • Standard Shipping: 3–7 business days
  • Express Shipping (GTA Only): Same or Next Business Day
  • Expedited Shipping (Ontario): 1–2 business days

United States

5. Customs, Duties & Taxes (International Orders)

Unless a DDP (Delivered Duty Paid) shipping option is selected, customers outside Canada are responsible for all applicable import duties, taxes, customs clearance fees, and other related charges imposed by the destination country.

For orders shipped using DDP, applicable import duties and taxes covered by the selected shipping service are prepaid. Customers will not be required to pay those covered charges again upon delivery.

We are not responsible for delays caused by customs clearance.

6. Shipping Address, Failed Delivery & Buyer Responsibility

Customers are responsible for providing an accurate and complete shipping address at checkout.

If a shipment cannot be delivered due to circumstances attributable to the buyer, including but not limited to:

  • Incorrect or incomplete shipping information
  • Failure or refusal to pay applicable customs duties, taxes, or clearance fees
  • Refusal to accept delivery
  • Failure to collect a package from the carrier within the required timeframe

The buyer will be responsible for the actual costs and losses resulting from the failed delivery, including applicable return shipping fees, additional shipping charges, customs charges, and carrier handling fees.

If the package is returned to us, any eligible refund will be processed in accordance with our Refund & Return Policy, after accounting for applicable costs and losses where permitted by law.
