Tuned in the material, not the mod.

The body is PBT — but PBTfans blended glass microspheres into the compound. The difference isn't cosmetic. Where conventional PBT reads slightly hollow and rounded, this blend produces a clearer, crisper sound with a Hi-Fi quality to it.

Most people chase that character with foam, tape and gaskets. Beluga Whale starts with it already in the plastic.

A skin-like finish.

The texture is deliberately unlike PBTfans' dual-color surface — softer and finer under the fingertip, closer to skin than to the faint grain most PBT carries. It suits a pale cap especially well, where any coarseness would read as texture noise across a whole board of one colour.

Walls come in at approximately 1.3mm — substantial enough to carry the acoustics, without the sluggish weight of an over-thick cap.

Beluga Whale ships blank, in a slightly off-white that sits warmer and softer than a stark pure white. No legends means no font to clash with your case, no sub-legends to date the build, and no wear pattern creeping across your most-used keys.

Cherry profile keeps the sculpt low and row-differentiated — each row angled and heighted so your fingers land where they expect, even without a legend to aim at.

Common questions.

What do glass microspheres actually do?
They're blended into the PBT compound before molding. The result is a stiffer, denser cap wall that rings cleaner when struck — PBTfans describe it as a clearer, crisper sound with a Hi-Fi quality, as opposed to the slightly hollow, rounded tone conventional PBT tends toward.
Is this pure white?
No — it's a slightly off-white, warmer and softer than a stark white. It sits well next to silver, natural aluminium and wood, and it won't fight a coloured case the way a hard white can.
Are these really blank?
Yes — Beluga Whale ships with no legends at all. If you rely on printed legends for touch typing, this isn't the set for you.
Will Beluga Whale fit my keyboard?
If your board uses Cherry MX switches or MX-style clones — Gateron, Kailh, JWK, Akko, Outemu and similar — the caps will mount. The thing to verify is layout coverage: check your board's key sizes against the kit you select.
How does 1.3mm compare to other keycaps?
It sits in the thick-cap range. Thin stock caps are often closer to 1mm, where the cap flexes and the sound thins out. At roughly 1.3mm Beluga Whale has enough wall to carry the acoustics without feeling heavy or slow to press.
Is a keyboard included?
No. This listing is keycaps only. You'll need a keyboard with MX-style switches already installed.
14 Days Refund Policy

Cancellation

You may cancel an order before we fulfilled it. Please allow 3-5 business days for the refund to process to your original method of payment.

 

Returns

Please note that we currently do not accept returns from the EU or OCE. We apologize for this inconvenience.

To return your product, please email us at contact@torontokeyboardman.ca.

Our return policy lasts 14 days. If 14 days have passed since you received, we cannot offer a refund or exchange. To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging. 

To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase. Please do not send your purchase back to the manufacturer.

 

Partial Refunds

There are certain situations where only partial refunds may be granted, including but not limited to:

  • Items showing obvious signs of use
  • Any item not in its original condition, is damaged, or missing parts for reasons not due to our error
  • Any item returned more than 30 days after delivery

In these cases, we reserve the right to issue a partial refund, depending on the condition of the returned item.

 

Shipping

You will be responsible for any and all shipping costs of returning an item. Shipping costs are non-refundable.

Depending on your shipping location, the time it takes for an exchanged product to be delivered may vary.

If you are shipping an item over $75, please consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance, as we can't guarantee that we will receive your returned item.

 

Refunds (if applicable)

Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.

If approved, your refund will be processed and the credit will be automatically applied to the original method of payment within 10 business days, depending on your bank.

 

Late or missing refunds (if applicable)

If you have not received a refund yet, please check your bank account. Contact your credit card company, as it may take time before your refund is officially processed and posted.

Discounted items (if applicable)

Only regular priced items may be refunded. Discounted items cannot be refunded.

 

Exchanges (if applicable)

We only replace items if they are defective or damaged. If you receive a damaged or defective product you have 72 hours upon arrival of the product to contact us regarding the defective unit at contact@torontokeyboardman.ca.
