A 2 mm glass top sits on a 0.8 mm base layer, so the pad stays planted on the desk through hard lateral movement. The underside carries a moulded keycap-grid texture with the Uncle Panda mark embossed into the corner.

Is this a fast pad or a control pad?
It leans fast. Startup is immediate and long sweeps travel freely, but it stops short of the uncontrolled over-drift typical of glass — easing off pressure locks aim in place, so micro-adjustments stay readable.
Will the grain feel rough under the mouse?
No. The grain is shallow by design, so there is no harsh tactile jolt. You get a faint sense of texture underneath an otherwise silky surface rather than a scratchy one.
Does it move around on the desk?
